I've drilled a series of 1/2" holes in the rear drums in past vehicles I've owned to cure dust buildup issues....as long as you don't go crazy with the number of holes and drill them on the FACE of the drum it works very well and doesn't weaken the drum enough to cause issues. You'd BETTER know how to drill brittle metal the right way before you try this as a solution though as cracking the drums due to localized overheating the of the hole/bit is NOT out of the realm of possibility here
