if the ring gear has a line cut into the outside of it, it is a 2 cut ring gear... if not it is a 5 cut, that is your diffrence.... you havto set the 2-cut up alot tighter, backlash wise anyway

i set the backlash to 7 and i took it 4 a lil drive and it wines from 20-50 mph
45 is when its a lil worse

but its not really loud

I won't get into my deal with the gears but I have mine with .012 in them. Quiet as a mouse. I also have the motive gears.

if your pattern is good then you have a little gear noise, just depends on how long you can put up with it...
