Default AWD + line lock?

Seen a video on YouTube of line lock on Dodge AWD cars to allow burnouts and such. Any reason this couldn't be done on a GMT 900 AWD truck? I've installed line lock before on older GM cars so the actual install on the truck shouldn't be any different, just curious if it will cause any more premature wear or breakage than normal burnouts do.

A awd cant move if a driveshafts missing so id have to assume no smoky burnouts for you.

lotta of useless stress on the center diff, but otherwise it will work; provided TC doesnt shut you down like you owe it money

It would screw up a viscous clutch TC. might work on a planetary. you don't want your front and rear tires to have a different amount of traction from a warm up burn out though.

My post assumed he had a traditional gear center diff. Dont know all the styles, but I assumed gear diff, never occurred to me that it might be viscous.

Viscous would work too, but AWD prob wouldnt work after that, and the viscous fluid would likely boil or find its way out of the diff.

I really dont see the allure to this at all. Whats the point of burning out an AWD truck? **** probably doesnt even chirp the tires on a launch as is, more traction wont make you faster. And if you just want to show some smoke, well I call rice.

Stock awd transfer cases are junk..if you lock down the front something will break..convert to 2wd.
