awd frotn diff options

When traction is lost at the rear wheels, the torque is biased to the front wheels. The torque to the front output shaft (3)
goes higher from the 38 percent, up to 100 percent torque. The torque at the rear output shaft (2) is lowered from the
62 percent, to as low as 0 percent torque.

that is great what you guys are typing but that isn't what i have seen in real life. not on a awd silverado or a typhoon or any other awd i have seen.
what i have seen is ONE front wheel spin faster than the rear is spining and one front wheel not spining at all but the average speed of the fronts closely match the rears.

yeah i agree one tire does spin more than the other in front b ecause the pos diff is an unlimited slip lol.
heatign drag radials isnt the easiest thing to do on an awd truck , ill do a burnout and hope all goes well because throwing my belt was a common failure to running before .
how ever the next time out i will have drag radials/cal tracs and front straps. that better work or im going to kick rocks.

I definitely agree that two properly hooked rear tires is better than four unevenly powered tires for a host of reasons. The problem is that trucks aren't the greatest at dragstrip launches. Sticky tires go a long way in solving that problem but AWD makes it pretty much foolproof at or near factory power levels. It's as easy and point and shoot.

you need to treat the truck as if it were a 2wd in the rear other than you need to match the front tires to the rear so that limits you some. the awd is great on the street and i of all people understand you wanting to keep it awd. i loved going out and racing in my truck and moping up on the streets. much faster cars would get behind a couple of cars right from the start and often not be able to make it up.
