Default Auburn Pro not locking so great any more

Guy's the last weekend when I had the truck at the track noticed my unit was not locking like it use to, the truck is a 2000 rcsb with bolt on's and a camshaft, do spay it sometimes with a small shot like a 80, was going to go into it and look around and thought I would change the additive, any ideas, also any recommended additive. THANKS!

Thats because they are junk. I know from experience, tearing up two of them.

They don't like going to the track and doing wet burnouts rolling out.

What Blown06 said...... the whole gears eating the carrier design of them is retarded..... find a trash bin and rid yourself of their stupidity.

Clutch pack LSD or if you can get over the scared, mostly BS nature of internet forums.... a Detroit Locker. Yes I have dailied a a Detroit in my stock height stock tire sized 2005 GMC 1500HD for about 80000 miles and still love it lol. But I have had good luck with clutch pack LSD's as well. The Trutrac..... I have one in the front of my old 86 K5 Blazer ( has a locker in the back) and it works okay. I would never use one in a rear diff ever..... unless maybe I was road racing.

I've never run a locker type, but will add stuff that I've seen and heard about them in drag situations. Here is an example of something shitty a locker could do:

At launch if you start spinning the tires and decide to stay in it, the truck/car can rear steer. I've seen it happen bad enough that the thing actually unlocked it self and well the truck darted straight to where it was pointed at the time. The wall.

I've only seen it once, and we really couldn't come up with any other explanation. As long as there was decent traction, never saw it happen again.

All the theoretical problems with the trutrac seem Bogus to me

Mine never had a hiccup at the track. Foose also runs one. And based off experience here, id say the trutrac is much more commonly used then the eaton lsd
