trans cooler lines can be a real pain in the *** to get off. Use a scribe if you have one (looks like a dental instrument) to get the e-clips off and when you get the lines off put the clips back on, the lines will click right back in that way when you put it back together and you won't lose the little clips.

Make sure your TQ converter is fully engaged on the input shaft.

When doing the shift kit pay very close attention to the directions and take your time.

Dont unbolt it without a jack underneath it!
At least put a helper under it so your tranny doesnt get damaged.
Good luck, wish I could help so that I will know how to do mine. I will be working this Saturday. I will be putting my Caltracs on tomarrow.

Be sure to fill that converter with fluid night before. Keep checking it. When you think its full. Check it again!!!!!! And be sure you SEAT IT ALL THE WAY!!!! Twist and push, twist and push. Youll feel when its there. (Sounded bad......)

Oh yea. Go buy some TransGel!!! Or use vaseline. Youll thank yourself when it comes to those checkballs!!!!!

you can get 4ft of extensions and keep the smaller ones closer to the scocket, or get the gear wrench from the top.

Yeah about 4 feet of extensions is the easiest way to get to it, make sure to remove the crossmember first and let the whole motor and tranny dip down and you'll be able to get to it easier.

Check ***** are like a single ball bearing, there are quite a few of them that are between the valve body and the rest of the trans. If you have the tranny out while doing the shift kit (which i highly recommend) they shouldn't be a problem at all. Your shift kit instructions should tell you where they go when you put it back together.

As said above also, when you fill the TQ converter it will only take a small amount before the fluid is at the top of the snout. You can either wait for it to seep into the converter or you can just tilt it back and forth and it'll go down. You should be able to get a whole quart in it by doing that in about 15 minutes.
