Default Anyone who have Traction bars ??

Anyone who have traction bars ?? if u do then like to see pics please. Thanks. Because i had some pretty nasty wheel hop!! wonder this traction bar will help less wheel hop or what ?? So My friend can build one for loop and single traction bar, it would be like a toque arm, and it would be hidden, either side of chunk and build a crossmember, he have done a few. pit a shackle on the crossmember side of it to keep noise and rattle down. That's what he told me. I don't know about that too. that why I tried reseach this before i take truck to shop to guy work on it.

Cal-Tracs. They work well, and look good. They are also adjustable.

The style of traction bar you described is a design that works well for off-road vehicles. It helps to control axle-wrap, and still allows alot of suspension articulation, which is what an off-road truck needs. Your needs are different.

You want to control axle-wrap, PLUS you want to move the instant-center of the truck farther forward, as much as possible. When you move the instant-center forward, the rear axle ends up having more leverage to "lift" the front end during a launch, which plants the tires harder at the same time. That's why Cal-Tracs work so well. They do more than just control axle-wrap(spring-wrap).

check out the new assassin traction bars. U might have to google that to find them. i think phantom is doing a project on his truck and he is using them. They are way more adjustable than caltracs and they bolt on rather than having to take the leaf spring lose to install them. Check em out!

Here are the Assassin bars.
"Assassin" Traction Device

They are the same price as the Caltracs. I would actually go with the Caltracs over these. I wonder if they would have problems with it sliding where it is bolted around the spring? In the picture they show the spring eye with what appears to be an aluminum bushing like what the Caltracs come with, so it looks like you would have to unblot it anyways. I will be purchasing bars in the near future, just not 100% sure what I will go with.

The assassin bars are a bolt on deal. You do not have to remove the leaf spring. Give smith Racecraft in dallas a call. Great people

Some of the fastest leafspring cars in the country come out of that shop.
