Have any of you guys used and/or had good luck with any home made or commercial tire softeners to revive or soften a set of street radials? I will be picking up a set of wheels with some half tread Hankook RH06 on them on the way to an event and am thinking of trying to soak/soften them overnight. A little research presents the following chemicals to be used whole or in part in most home brew recipes:
Toulene
Xyelene
Acetone
WD40
Diesel
Kerosene
Gasoline
ATF
Transmission sealer
brake fluid
Turpentine
Some commercial applications mentioned:
Track Claw
Problend
Goat Pee
Formula-V
Since I will not be at home it would need to be a mixture easily applied and set back in the truck or on the trailer and not wrapped in garbage bags or plastic-wrap.

But on my dirt track tires ill put tolulene in the tires and put 5psi in them and roll them on a tire roller for a week. Then take a grinder to the tire and take the glaze off the tires..

I knew that pimp juice aggressively softened the tire in conjunction with a burnout to transfer rubber to the track surface but didn't know it worked well as a coating. If it works well as a coating, I may consider picking up a gallon. I just don't want to turn the tires into a pile of goo.
