I have a 2004 silverado 1500 with a 5.3/4l60 and I need to get an 80 in there because this is a prerunner and I keep blowing 60's this one only lasted about a couple hundred miles with my new tires. My dad made me a deal that he will help me pay a quarter of the cost but I have to get a shop to do it for me.

 

Cost you the what he's willing to pay to do it yourself.

I can only imagine that shop installed trans swap is gonna be a hell of a bill.

 

It's my dad's old work truck that he gave me so he won't let me do it myself. And is over $1600 in parts + transmission.

 

hit up member chpspecial . he lives out in that area and does transmission work and can even tune it for the swap.

or cunningham motorsports in murrieta. thats where i got my truck tuned. they are always swamped but do superb work.

if you were closer to oc id do it or help you do it. i did my own 80e swap a couple years ago.

 

I've been to cunningham multiple times but they said I should do it myself and I agree but my dad says to have a professional do it since it's my first time and it's my daily driver.

 

Any shops that can help me out?
