There are programming snaffu's at the moment, the PCM is freaking out because it can't control the tranny and the tranny is not getting the right signals. plus our PCM doesnt have the required areas for the parameters on the 4-5 and 5-6 shift.

This is on a 07 NNBS truck?? I thought the ECU's were the same (E38) and could be programmed? The tranny would need correct TCU of course, I was looking into this and it all looked pretty much trouble free (so I had thought), other than the manual shift mode stuff (have to add hardware to get the button on the shift stalk)...and of course the programming.

Sure be nice to add that thing behind my 5.3 or better yet just do the L92/6L80e....

Thanks

Ive seen a few problems with them but not bad... Had a few that the tcm's going out.. couldn't communicate with it and trans was defaulting into gear.. Also seen one with a huge burr on the 1-2 relay valve causing it to shudder hard under acceleration and when shifting into second gear.. Just replaced the control valve body assembly.. But other than that I havent seen any comming apart yet... Seens to be a good tranny so far...

I have one in my 00 RCSB behind a L92. I have the problem mentioned above from time to time. I just need to get time with John from Speartech to sort it out. The 6L80E defaults to 3rd gear when it is in limp mode. No need for a converter for sure! The engine revs like it is in neutral with the 4.02 first gear and 3.73's. First gear is done around 35 mph and second at around 60.
