So we got the true trac in after dicking around with some weird patterns on the gears for like 3 hours...finally got it figured out, started it up and put it in gear and heard a nasty grinding noise from the transmission. So I can only assume at this point that the shock load killed the output shaft on the 60e.
SO: I am completely open to suggestions/recommendations at this point. Do I fix the 60e, get billet shafts and make it the most badass 60e that I possibly can, or just bite another bullet and spend the money on an 80e swap? Aside from having to shell out cash that I don't currently have, I don't have the time to do it so I would most likely have to pay some of my friends to do it. Shitty situation...opinions?

Thats a pretty reasonable price, if only there was a shop like that in AZ. I'd prefer to do the work myself, but school just has me on a time crunch right now.
As for the 80e breaking...I can't say that a shock load released in the drive train wouldn't be enough to break an 80e too. But I will say that I will keep the brake stalling to a minimum as a precaution.
