Default another 80E swap?

Which 60e cooler line do you re-use for the front cooler fitting on the 80e? is it the upper or lower line on the 60e that goes to the front fitting on the 80e?

thanks

doesn't matter cause the trans is what pumps the fluid and it doesn't matter but I used the one that feeds the top of the radiator from the front i think. then let it drain by gravity..... maybe someone will give ya more info on this!

I see what you mean, that it doesn't really matter.

I think my 60e pumps it through the radiator, then the cooler and then back to the trans.

I wanted to run it the same way.

The rear is the return on the 80e....you need that special rear fitting for the 80e, and it comes in a pack with a new front one.

I know I need to extend the rear line but will the 60's lines clip into and work with the 80's fittings?

yes they should be the same style end that the 4l60 has. there is a few different ways you could extend the rear line. i went with all new lines. i got rid of the factory lines. here the ends i went with they work great. then i went with presslock lines and AN fittings.
the one on the left is the rear fitting thats difference in the fittings

60e lines attach fine. I used a 2500 suburban line for the rear fitting. The only problem is, I forgot to account for the fact that they also have a 34" radiator. I have the 28". So I had to do some serious bending on the line to get everything to work. With efans it required no mods, but with the clutch fan I had to bend it. The line cost around $30 from the dealer.
