Let us know what you find. I'm having the same issue with mine. Might be time for me to dive into my 80e and see if I can't screw something up.

Man, I missed this thread.

I made ALL my desired shift times zero. Normal and Performance about 3-4 months ago. Took care of that adaptive learning real quick. No more soft 1-2's for me.

This adaptive learning and burst knock are 2 things in our pcm's that to me proves GM (and any other manufacturer for that matter) builds vehicles for the masses, not performance minded folks like ourselves.

Check your MAF readings in your logs and see if they are less at WOT then before, your MAF may be dirty which will report less airflow to the PCM and
calculate less TQ and give you a softer shift at WOT.

Also I noticed quite a bit of change in the trans shifts when I did the 90mm TB mod, just requires a bit of tuning to get it back to what I like.

I zero'd out all my desired shift times today. The 1-2 seems slightly better but not much. I guess at this point I'll change the tranny fluid and filter and see if that helps any.

I've read a few of your threads around grippy...hate to say, but when you don't change anything in your tune and then out of no where you start having issues...it is morehtan likely mechanical. HOWEVER, an 80e? hmmm. What converter do yu have?
