I had rear rotors that were so warped that there was a slight vibration in the steering wheel. The difference here though, is, that when I applied the brakes the wheel would almost shake out of my hand (The other hand usually has a double cheesburger in it).

have you had the driveshaft checked lately? Stock or not, an unbalanced driveshaft will cause "shakes" while driving. Depending on a shop's balancing procedure, one shop's work will differ from another's. Also depends at what speed they balance the shaft at. Some shops balance at higher speeds, with the assumption that that's all that needs to be done.
