i do tow with it but also have trailer brakes. this brake setup bites way better than the stock rotors and pads. plus the brake fade was horrible before. i drive city everyday and also pretty aggressive. lots of hard stops. it is hard to explain the difference but it was extremely noticeable. i am sure a larger brake setup works awesome but for the price of this setup i would surely do it again.

the pads and rotors are the only thing i have changed on my brake system. i want to upgrade to stainless hoses but have not done it yet.

the brake upgrade is great for towing as well, faster stops. the SS lines make a better pedal feel because there is no swelling like the stock rubber lines, the SS lines maintain their diameter under all braking conditionds so you get more brake pressure to the caliper where you need it. hope this helps

Directly from the R1 website they are only $155 for a set of drilled/slotted..not a bad deal.

and they also list rear brake pads and rotors for the 06 SSS as well as drums. I hate when a website has enough screw ups that I'm scared to order from the company.
