Run a flip kit with a lift shackle that brings the back spring eye up alot more. Drop will be about 4.5" with a 1.75" lift shackle

 

4.5 is pretty low tho. If like to stick to 3in drop if I can.

 

What rear drop kit are you running, ex. drop hangers and shackles? What size drop hangers do you have?

 

I just have the 2in drop shackles and the over loads out, the bottom leaf spring is cut 8 inchs on both ends, just did it myself it's dropped 3 to 3.5 from stock.

 

See how that setup works for you. If it doesn't seem to be working try reversing it and use a lowering hanger (preferably McGauphys since it has two adjustment holes) with a stock shackle, and see if it works any better.

 

From experience i got better traction with a flipkit cause the bar runs more parallel than hangers and shackles

 

Yeah it seems like you would want the distance from the leaf spring to the caltrac bar to be the same by the axle and in the front, then have them as straight as you can. That way it would work alot the same as like a 4 link would. That's just me thanking tho. IM just going to try and get the truck setting level yet and go with it and see what happens, make some changes this winter if need be.
