Converter question
Last week I installed a used TCI 3500 converter in my 00 RCSB. The truck has 140,000 miles and the trans is otherwise bone stock. The converter worked ok for the first 250 miles, the only problem it had was it would vibrate/slightly grind when locking up. Yesterday the converter decided not to lock up at all. My trucks message center went red and said Trans hot... idle truck. When I installed the converter, I put a large tranny cooler in front of the radiator. My questions are: Which tranny cooler line does everyone tie into for their aftermarket coolers : top or bottom?
Do you think the converter is junk?
Is this the problem everyone else has had with the lockup on TCI converters?
Your help is much appreciated.

Yea everyone seems to have problems with TCI convertors not locking up.
Its also not good that you put that big *** stall in there with no shift kit or anything.
Edit: You also need to get the truck tuned for the converter.

I destroyed a 10" TCI converter and several supposedly street/strip built transmissions with a 406 SBC. I don't think I would buy another TCI product. Other than their aluminum deep pan which I like ok.
