Do you brake stall it and launch? Or just flash the converter? A lot of times when the abs lights kick on it can be a hub assembly.. Jack it up and see if there any slack or noise or anything coming from either side. If not I would just check the sensors and wiring and after that I don't know what to tell ya

Got any codes? That will give you a hint of what's going on...maybe the tires are spinning in the rear and giving the ABS module a different speed signal than the front?

Don't your style of truck have 4 wheel ABS with tone rings on each corner? I'd be willing to bet your getting the tires spinning at different speeds and your abs light is coming on to indicate that there is an erratic speed change...

My ABS light comes on sometimes in the water box, but it always goes back off after I restart the truck and drive it a few feet.

i never had this problem. i havr a traction light from a dig and any mph up to 50. but then again its because the tires are spinning. i have no idea about the abs light. im running the same converter as you.
