Default about to install a shift kit

I bought a shiftkit and a few other items about a year ago and am finally going to get around to installing it. The truck is a 2000 silverado 5.3L with the 4L60e tranny

below is the list of parts I bought, Im just wondering if I forgot anything, anyone have any suggestions of anything else that would be good to replace while in there?

Transgo HD2 shift kit
Transgo Seperator plate
Corvette servo
1-2 aluminum accumulator piston (small pin)
Foward clutch aluminum accumulator piston

so, anything else worth replacing while im at it??

Get the 3-4 accum piston. It's the same as the 1-2 accumulator, just used in a different part of the tranny.

You're set.

Why get the 3-4 when it's already aluminum?

On my '06 it was plastic; it should be the same on older models.

When installing the HD2 do NOT install any spacers in the 2ed gear accumulator.

My 3-4 piston was aluminum in my 04. I would get a new oem pan gasket unless you get an atp filter with a new one. The transgo cork gasket is junk.

Interesting, I guess GM screwed me lol

Brandon, if you drill the plate to the size in the instructions you'll get harsh shifts as this kit was designed for F bodys and the trucks are different. I did a lot of research before installing my HD2 and most people liked this for a DD:
1-2: don't drill at all
2-3: use a .093 drill
3-4: use a .110 drill

I installed mine with those specs and it shifts a bit firmer (compared to stock) at partial throttle, but at WOT you get fast & firm shifts without banging, the best of both worlds IMO. I don't think you'll want firmer shifts for a DD honestly.
