Yeah mine shows second gear also, I don't know what the deal with that is but who cares really. Rossler installed the speed sensor in my tranny so I just wired it up the same as the old one and have had no problems so far. You can do a search on ls1tech and get the part numbers for that conversion.

What are your VSS/speedo settings in HPT? Like your pulses per mile and what not? I think mine might be a little bit off.

BTW, mine reads Park, but I'm coming from a T56.

PIN C & B are tied together when selector is in park
PIN C & F are for reverse lights
PIN G & E are for neutral safety switch

for PIN A its just a capped off wire that isnt in the harness [atleast for my 02 its not]
PIN D seems to be tied into the smaller plug for the black box

so tomorrow i plan on connecting the PINK [c] & Lt Grn [b] together so i have a complete circuit
and see where that gets me.

its only a matter of a few wires before i figure this out for everyone

yes the above is correct

also the black [ground that is on the larger plug is the ground for the smaller plug. when in part all 4 wires of the small plug are connected along with ground

i took all 4 + ground and just solderd them together

and i took the 2 for the Neutral switch and took the to the clutch pedal
then i took the Ignition 1 wire and the Park/neutral signal wire and connected them together and also tapped off these two and ran the wire for Reverse lights to the trans
then connected the other green to the plug for the reverse for the trans

i did crank the truck over without the Park/neutral signal connected. but i went ahead and wired the rest of it up anyways just to be safe. since thats how the black box reads in park

I tried that and a lot more and didnt work.

Could i just put the black box back on and seal it off so water wont go in. Why would my indicator be in 2nd gear all the time???

I used the same pink and green wires I used for the T56 swap for the TH400 swap. For some reason I though, my truck is different than the 02-ups. My wiring diagrams are labeled for only 99-01, and the colors listed above are similar, but not the same. I might have to do something for the .0000000000000001% of us with 99-01's and T56's/TH400's.
