Because the stock 4L60Es SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

Seriously, I'm on my 2nd trans, and it's down again... after being rebuilt twice already. Going with a TRUELY built 4L65E from a site sponsor as soon as my bonus gets here.

then you lose your OD and if a DD or crusier you want OD

depeds on who built them and etc...i put 8k of hard miles on my truck and didnt have an issue. thought i did tore trans apart and it was fresh as it was the day it was built....its all in who builds them. no my trans wasnt built by a sponsor. i got the parts list they use and have Mater's trans guy copy and build me one for 2k less then what the sponsor sells it for

its been the same...first was a stock rebuild from GM and a weak 5 plantary...that trans took a buse and held it

i just dont see why ppl are havingissues with 60s these days. a 60 can be made to hold...its all in who builds it

500-550 is about the limit the 4l60 will hold, because of the weight of the trucks. A stock 4l80 will just be warming up at those power levels.

I agree,, it depends on who builds it.. and it depends on how much you abuse it.
to build a TH350 only cost Semihemi about $200. it went in his ElCamino.
I think the parts and stuff for the 60e is a little more... depends on who you know also.
