95 Chevy solid axle swap questions
#1
wanting to swap the independent crap to a 1 ton set up I believe I can snag a rear Corp 14 out of any year Chevy. That's easy enough. But what year Ford do I need to take the dana 60 out of? Should I swap the knuckles out to Chevy stuff? Should I buy a sas kit? Or just do the fab work myself? Just in the planning stages. I want to have everything ready to go before I start so I don't have many surprises.. what's better, leafs or coils dont want to blow my whole wad doing the swap. Just need it to be strong and tow straight. Tired of rebuilding the front end every couple years and eating tires when components wear out..

I have performed a straight axle swap on a 95 chevy and know the process well. Based on your post, you have not done enough homework on this. Start doing some research. Knowing what front axle to use is the very least you should know.
I will give you two tidbits:
1. Google "dana 60 bible"
2. Google "chevy SAS"
Lastly, please type in complete sentences using proper grammar and punctuation. Doing this will make those with knowledge more inclined to give it.
