Default 80E wiring swap using the relay setup

I'm looking at doing the relay style swap rather then the segment swap i don't wanta deal with the TCC unlocking at less then 5% throttle

does anyone have any info or how to make a harness i don't wanta spend $250 from pcmforless

I'll be real curious to see how this works out. It'll be nice to compare them back to back.

With HPTuners you can keep it from unlocking and don't have to buy a harness for 250!

HPT now allows you to keep it locked. Mine has been this way for the last year.

Damn it I didnt know that lol.

Can you program it to stay locked, but then unlock when you let off in tow/haul mode?

Yes you can. Tow haul has its own TCC tables.

Oh wait, it shares the min TPS table so no. You can have different lock and unlock but min TPS cannot vary.

For those interested in modifying their own I believe this is what you're looking for. Posted in here ---> https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...t-swap-486918/

As for EFI live, I have no idea. With HPT if you send them your tune and a tune with a matching OS and 80E they will do the swap no fees or anything. Then you do the wiring mod which is cheap as you really only need a plug. Then you can tune it not to unlock at 0 TPS. By doing this you dont have to worry about some of the issues that have been surfacing with the Relay mods. FYI truck tunes with a 60E command the unlock at 0 TPS also.
