remember we arent talking about a ratio spread of a 4L60E.. but with a stall it will be like your SS3600 was on boost in the 60E.

IMO a turbo truck doesn't need a loose converter. Most guys want something that stalls in the 3000-3500 RPM range. When you brake boost a stock converter, it will get there. From what I've seen, you can generally expect a converter to stall about 1000 RPM above what it's rated at. Stock is rated at something like 2000-2200? Stalls at 3000-3200. kbracing96 ordered a 2600 stall converter, it stalls about 3600 and flashes to 4000. 64camino ordered a converter that was supposed to be around 2500 I think, it stalls to 3500 IIRC. I would be willing to bet that the 3500 stall that silver-hom-o ordered will stall at about 4500. If that's what he's looking for, that's cool, just throwing out my experiences and observations. Many of the opinions given in this thread are from people running N/A or s/c applications, which loads the converter up differently.

The 4L80E is a totally different animal from what most of you 60E guys are used to.

Chris assures me it'll be more efficient and that ill be happy with it.

I don't think I could live with a "stock" shift extension again after driving a small converter for so long.

And he made me a hell of a deal!!!!

25.4mm = 1"
so to be exact 258mm is 10.15"

Oh. Im a little confuse why they set up for high stall converter. I thought if I stick 3000 stall converter. It would accleration faster, Would burn out hard. I thought Turbo would like it also I know Turbo like low gear ratio also.
