700r4 trans year????

how can i tell what year a trans is? i know by the numbers or letters on the case. but what part tells you the year?

This picture is from a 4l60e but this case ID location is the same on the 700r4. It says 5FFD this trans is for a 95 camero. The first digit tells you which year. Good luck, Vince.
