Default 60 vs 80 question

i was wondering if i bought a stall for my 60e now, a tt3000, sooner than later when it crapped out on me, would that stall still fit in a 4l80? i dont want to be one of those people buying 13 4l60's but i dont really wanna waste 800 ish dollars on a tt3000, trans cooler and installation when my transmission willl be dying soon and ill have to do it all over again...basically are the stalls compatable with the 80 and 60?

well that sucks, so now what should i do....get a 150 wet shot first and wait until it breaks in a couple months are something then get the 4l80 and stall for that tranny? or what cuz i dont wanna throw 1000 dollars down the drain on a stall for a transmission that is going quick...ive been trying to decide between 150 shot and a stall with cooler and shift kits (which to do first)

Dont do anything till you have enough money to do the swap. Then sell your used tranny for a little bit of money while its still in good ondition. Then do the big mods.

well the thing is right now im a high school senior, and my parents honestly wouldnt know about the nitrous because i'd hide the bottle under the frame and they will pay for any repair on my truck, not modification, but needed repair i.e. transmission failure. so while it was at the shop i'd have a friend hold the bottle. im not worried about them finding out and getting at least a built 65e or 80 wont be a problem whenever my 60 goes so thats not the issue....sad to say and i almost feel bad but im a self-concious teenager what are you gonna do....

Don't lie to your parents about something that would cost that much money. Its bad karma and you'd feel bad about it later in life.

what a downer, i could just tell them and see.... i can already feel it going because its pretty old for a 60 and it needs to be replaced before i go to college anyways. if they disapprove of the gas then ill just do the converter, shift kits, and a bigger cam again
