hey im planning to get a 1999-2006 1500 sierra or silverado 4x4 im looking for a stick shift one i just wanted to ask what kind of transmission are on the 4x4's? according to my research they use a nv4500 but im not sure
and is it possible to bolt a t56 and keep the 4x4 without alot of customisation? im planning to swap the stock motor for a lightly modified lq4 or lq9 the truck is gonna be my daily driver, quad towing and for desert driving

damn what about shifting at high rpm i mean fast shifting? im planning to torture the truck with off roading like hill shooting but only on weekend's but i wont go mudding or anything like that also i see in your signature that you swapped a 6.0
did you face any difficulties when installing the new engine ? and how do you like it so far?

i know you'll probably need to add a jumper from F10 to F11 in the black fuse block for the clutch switch
