5/7 is low for a static daily driver on a nbs. If there aren't any inclines/declines or speedbumps you have to worry about though, go for it. Only 5/7 kit I am aware of is from DJM. I am running their 4/6 kit and have no complaints with it.

mcgaughy's makes a 5/7 drop for the crew cab. it's theone i just installed. you have to cut one full coil off the top of the spring. I got a front end alignment and everything is fine. I got mine from stylin concepts.

here is a pic

so if you had to cut 1 full turn of the spring what actually came in the kit to lower the front? spindles or control arms?

2" spindles and 3" spring, but remember, it's for a crew cab. there front springs are different. I think it has something to do with weight, spring rate or height.

What year truck is this for? I was assuming it was for the one in your sig. Of course with that said I just noticed it was a SS.

If it is for the nnbs, 07+, then yea, a 5/7 looks great and should be very drivable. I would actually take the lip off the bottom of the front bumper and go lower, I think I have heard of people talking about a 7/8.
