there are couple of ways to go about this in the front. 1" coil/4"lca or 2" spindle/3" coil... for the back, you are gonna need a flip kit/c notch

i've got a DJM 4/6 on my truck and run 285/60/18 tires. with lower profile tires you could easily run 22 inch or maybe 24 inch wheels if you wanted to. IMO, anything bigger than 22 is ugly.
my truck has spindles, lowering springs, axle flip, and c-notch to get me to 4/6

You wouldn't need to change the lenght of the D-shaft...you may need to change the pinion angle...thats just shims though...and the flip kit would likely take the pinion angle into account...as long as you get a good one.

Edit:

Oh...depending on how ghetto you wanna get with this...I have seen guys take out the body isolators and cut the rubber down to get the body to sit lower...you can gain 1-1.5 inches drop doing this.

makes a 2/4 almost look like a 4/6...

Oh and yeah you will need lowered shocks...

I bet that rides like total *** ^^^^^^

I'd recommend just doing the drop the right way.

I'd do a spindle/drop coil in front and flip kit and notch in the rear. I like the look of a flip kit and drop shackle in the rear

Yeah...depends if you want it for a show truck or you want to drive it I guess.
I seen a truck done like this with bags and C-notch etc ...but this done instead of a proper body drop...got the right look they were after...but It was almost undrivable on any street.

It gets you a little lower, but you don't have to do a c-notch to get the rear down.
And yeah like You said...its Definitely NOT the right way to do things...but neither is cutting springs...Like Chip Foose does all the time.

Ive cut TONS of coil springs with no adverse effects. If you do it right, its perfectly fine.
