4x4 4l80e output shaft????
#1
I have to convert my 4l80e over to 4x4 from 2wd from a 4l60e. My question is would a stock replacement output be strong enough or should i go to an upgraded one? If i go stock ill just change the shaft in the transfer case and run about $200ish if i go with stock parts and the new shaft for the transfer case. The other one thru here http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4l80e.htm its about halfway down is an upgraded strength output with the right spline count to just hook the transfer case as is up, But is $355 fro the shaft alone. Opinions would be nice guys thanx

I'd do a stock 80e output shaft before the one linked and change the transfer case over. If major power I'd consider a billet 80e output shaft. Only 80e shaft I'm aware of being broke was Parish snapping an input shaft behind about a 1000/1000 power level.
