Default 4wd conversion

ok i know i am going the wrong way but i hate not bein able to go in the woods

im gonna take my red truck and try to do a 4wd conversion
i figured if i buy a 6" lift i dont need the xmembers correct, adn i can buy rear lift springs so i wont need the 4wd springs

as far as other parts this is what ive compiled

xcase
front driveshaft
front diff & bracket
4wd hubs (2)
cv joints (2)
upper & lower control arms?
rear driveshaft?
torsion bars (2)
torsion keys (2)
torsion xmember or is that one thats included in the lift kit as a drop xmember?
i can still use my trans correct? will i need like a 4wd tailshaft or something
rear driveshaft?
steering components?

this is just an idea i am kicking around... if it gets to crazy im not gonna do it but im thinkin i can get this done for under $3000 including the lift price. i plan to do the work myself jfyi, let me know what you guys think

Can't be done reasonably

the frames are completely differnet with different shapes and reinforcments. you might be able to do a SAS but that would be a whole lot of fab.

also the trans will have to be rebuilt with a 4wd oputput shaft

werd. the 4wd control arms will not bolt onto a 2wd frame. i tried to do the reverse. the mounts for the control arms are totally different. you would have to completely re-fab the mounts on the frame.

you're better off, and it's more solid to do a SAS (solid axle swap)

Look for a 2wd stearing box
d 44 axle - Jeep or Ford

ORD has a SAS swap kit, but it's expensive, it comes with all the brackets and bolts, but no springs/shocks.

I doubt anybody makes a kit for this. And its still going to require some fab work to mount the leaf springs up front and reconnect your steering to the solid axle. You could always go with a four link in the front
