Few questions:

What wiring harness / PCM are you running? (Year, Model)

If it was not a harness for a 4L80E how did you do your connector?
1) Use a cut off 4L80E connector and tap in to the harness / pcm
2) Repin a new connector in to the harness / pcm
3) Other (please explain)

What did you use for programing in regards to comanding the 4L80E perameters?

You can get a harness from Speartech for about 100.00 shipped. You will need tuning on the pcm with hptuners.

 

I'll be getting the Speartech harness, and I have HPTuners to program the transmission.

 

Yep, there is a conversion harness to adapt the 4L60E harness. Speed Engineering sells it also. With the 4L80E you will also need a second VSS sensor which speed sells too, it comes with instructions on how to pin it into the PCM.

Any of the popular tuning softwares can reflash a 80E file into your PCM. When you reflash the PCM you need to flash the ENTIRE Operating system from a 80E truck into it. Whatever software you use look for a file from a 6.0L/4L80E/2wd truck, that will be the best starting point for you.

What year PCM do you have now?

 

That is how I did mine, start with a 80e bin and tranfer all your engine tables over... I also went with the Speed Speartech harness....
