So if I am right with what I am reading here, the stock 2 piece drive shaft in my extended cab will be just fine with 700hp at the wheels? I just got done building my 4l80 with the hd2 shift kit and a billet input shaft. I have been wondering about the drive shaft, whether or not to go to an aluminum 1 piece or just use my stock one.

I believe it will be stronger than the 10 bolt behind it.

Awesome! That surprises me. It just seems like having that extra connection and splines in the middle of everything would be a weak point. I've got plans to do an Eaton Truetrac in the future also. Guess I'll find the weak points eventually, lol.
