It looks flush but I think I can feel uneven with the case spacer in. Really, I beat the **** out of it for over an hour and was worries I'd damage the case. I'll see how things feel when the internals are in. It is like 1/4 a fingernail width, but maybe just my imagination.

Quarter of fingernail width is probably .010-.015" or close to, see how it feels once its together and make sure it in straight.... So long as your total end play clearance is good youre fine!!!

One of the pump bushings was toast.

Why do those fittings look enotely too close together??? What year is that trans??

I *think* its a 93.

4l80es prior to 1997 have the cooling lines close together like a 4l60e. It can make the swap easier. 97+ have em far apart and the rear needs to be a special long fitting to properly provide fluid.

I don't know whats better. Some like the old design, some like the new. I doubt there is too much difference.

It is an electronically controlled version not just a 4l80, right??

I welded in a drain. If I mess up my first build attempt, I can at least save the fluid. I waaay over welded. I'm new to welding and was having fun. It ain't pretty but should work.

For all out build, the pre 97 is preferred
