Im sure doing this for a living has something to do with the fact that i just wanna get to it, get it done, and move on to the next phase of the project.... I have a bunch of pics of what ive done to my truck but they are all basically this is what i did tonight, usually as i was cleaning up for the night getting ready to drive an hour to get home from where the truck was, usually at 2 or 3am, thinking i still had to get up and be to work the next morning... And then had more to do on the truck the next night.... Im glad shes back in one piece!!!! Lol

I wire brushed all the mating surfaces and brake cleaned everything out.
Surfaces look better. Also note the lower hole.
That's where the cup plug sits. On 2wd trans there is a small pin hole to feed fluid to the rear tail shaft bushing. This rear bushing doesn't exist on 4wd version and needs to be plugged as per the ATRA guide. Drill it out with a 1/8 bit and plug with 1/8x1/8 punch dealy. I tested first on the one I had to rip out.
Also at that end I need to replace the bushing. The stock one has been known to walk out. Sonnax makes this beast to stop that. I'm going to put it in with some red loctite to ensure it stays in place. Look how beastly it is! It's huge compared to the stock part. The lip stops walk out.

The sonnax bushing doesn't feel to be sitting level no matter how much I hammer on it. Perhaps it will be OK. Arg.
Also used the RIVET dealy again and added more parts to the case.
I dropped off my driveshaft to be shortened by 1 and 11/16 inches. 30min drive non biggie. It was done in an hour so picked it up. 2 hours on the road today (on a day off). It looks and measures great.
