I have a new bodystyle Silverado 1500 2wd Reg Cab. I just put a 6.0 in it an wanna switch to a 4l80. Can I use a 4l80 out of a older bodystyle like a 03 or something? If so what do I need to go with it? I already know about the tuning an cross member issue an wiring issues but as for the trans it self will it work? Or what do I needa change on the trans it self? Thanks for any help

 

just thinking off the top of my head, you will need the speed sensors in the trans since its got 2 vs 1. i cant help you as far as the flex plate and converter go because im running a circle d converter with a 60e bolt pattern.

 

If you are trying to use the OE 310mm 4L80 converter, you will need the OE style flat flexplate and the crank spacer. If you are looking for a custom converter, we can build you one with the LS bolt pattern to fit your dished flexplate - no spacer needed.
