Default 4L80E "Ears"

For you guys doing 80E swaps, are you having to cut off the "ears" on the bellhousing for clearance? It seems like the f-body guys have to.

You'll only have to do it if it interferes with your downpipe.

I had to trim my passenger side for the ARH headers.

I cut mine off, not sure if I had to but wanted to cut them off prior to having my case media blasted so...

Cut the ears off my 80e. I test fit the empty case before re-assembly when I rebuilt it.

Yup I cut mine off... it gives you more clearance for the exhaust, cooler lines, etc. No harm in removing them, so you may as well.
