hey guys, i was just wondering if anybody knew just how much the driveshaft needs to be shortened for a 4l80e swap. Either the amount shorter it is than the 4l60 driveshaft, or the overall length thats needed would be great. Thanks alot.

cool, i hope mine might be the same way. Im trying to do a motor and tranny swap at the same time with as little downtime as possible. And i really dont want to pay $350 for the driveshaft from speed engineering. Do you guys have any play left in it to accomidate lowering? My truck is pretty slammed so the driveshaft sits into the trans a little bit more than normal right now as it is.

Ughh...Im an idiot.
I forgot about the extra adaptor plate that mates the sy/ty AWD case to the 80e making the set up longer than what you guys are doing. Forget what I said.
