Default 4l80e can anyone tell me about this one?

I just pick up this transmission 4MPJ-MPI74 out of a 05 2500 Silverado. Google it and found out nothing.. Anyone know the scoop on this one?

What are you trying to figure out?

Other than that it is a 4L80e from a heavy duty truck.

If it's an 80E it's like all the rest of them. I suspect you found the case production number.

Yep, regular 80E. For what it's worth, they're pretty much the same through all the years aside from a single bellhousing bolt hole placement (which doesn't matter).

OK Thanks .. Its what I will be soon doing my swap with.. You know what are the hard part I will need ? such as a flex plate? spacers? Doing the swap to a 2003 Chevy Silverado 5.3...

You will need a modified tranny crossmember or a new crossmember.

You will need a tune with a segment swap.

I believe there is some wiring you will have to do with the 80e.

You will need a shorter driveshaft.

Dunno about the flexplate.

Early 4l80s had the cooler line fittings much closer together also....

OK Thank you ali.. I will try to have all the things I need for next weekend. Sure would be nice to really open up this Procharger and not blow thru third gear!
