Default 4l80 problem. Skipping second gear

My problem is When normal driving in drive it all but skips second gear. I can faintly feel the shift to second but then it goes straight to third and will not downshift to second with throttle. If I go from 3 to 2 manually with no throttle it will hold second once it downshifts but will not hold it with minimal throttle input. Also with the electrical connector unplugged it defaults to 3rd instead of 2nd. Has anyone experienced something similar to this?

Sounds like it's got a rolled sprag. What did you do for wiring/control?

I did the pin swap in the connector and segment swapped tune. The trans has been in for a year or so. When u get it in second gear, it will hold if I run it hard but, with light throttle and goes right back to third. Could second gear still hold with a rolled sprag?

No, sounds like a tune issue.

The trans tune hasn't been changed so I can't imagine it's the tune. Not being argumentive, it's just never had a problem with the tune.
