Default 4L65E Shift kit Cost

Im havin my transmission upgraded and I think this is a pretty sweet deal, you tell me if it isn't. I ordered a Transgo HD2 Shift Kit, Corvette Servo, and a Sonnax Servo and the shop is installing them all for 200 bucks! I can't do it myself any cheaper considering the time it would take me

I think that sounds pretty damn good. IIRC I was quoted 400 for the same.

200 seems awfully cheap IMO. At that price there probably reusing the fluid. Won't hurt to put a new filter in while the pans off unless it was done recently. Only use a Quality OEM replacement filter. Some of the aftermarket ones don't seat correctly.

All there doing is dropping the pan and installing the parts you supplied. There not removing the transmission and installing the clutch spring part of the kit.

If you watch the video on the trans go site you will see basically what the trans shop is doing.

I think I paid about $360 for a Trans-Go HD2 install, and a flush of the fluid and filter. I suuplied the parts. No servo though. They said I got a little hook up because my brother's shop sends their transmission work to the place I had it done.

What brand of fluid do you guys recommend and the filter? One of buddies knows a place in Bowlingreen KY where all they deal with is transmissions. The shop I'm going to specializes in racing trans too.

2006 Silverado Is DEXRON 6 from the factory. Stick with the factory spec.
