i did a 4.8 swap to a lq4 6.0 i wasnt exactly sure wich flexplate to use so i winged it ,this is the first time ive ask but i used my plate off the 4.8 4l65e ,should i have used the plate and spacer off the 4l80e ?at id le to about 1k rpm my truck has a shake and my tuner guy says its the cam vibrateing through the truck ,but iv got this ? in the back of my head .by the way its only a 220 540 lift cam its not in my opinion big enough to shake the truck ,yes its been tuned by nelson.any answers or opinions will be open for sugg. please.im wondering if anyone has ever exp. this before with this setup or like sugg would be great ,i have pet peaves for shakes and rattles.

 

your tuner guy is right. 4.8 and 6.0 flexplates are not balanced any different.

 

right but the difference is the 6.0 came with a 4l80 trans so the flywheel can not be used.

 

so i did do the right thing by putting the 65e flywheel stock from the 4.8 back on .?it was the whole spacer thing that scared me i didnt know what to do weekend swap and couldnt get ahold of anyone .so i said im going with my flywheel that i know works on my truck and took the flywheel off the 6.0 and the spacer off the 6.0 and put my factory 65 trans flywheel on .what is the spacer on the l80 for? that what looped me .
