Default 4l65e built vs stock failures?

Just curious here, but why does it seem like the factory 4l65e holds up better than a built one? Seems like every failure ive seen is a built one.

Most people that have them built beat them more. Most don't build a top of the line trans with billet parts just to tow with a stock motor.
