Default 4L60E w/yank 3600 problem

Alittle over a year ago, I put in a yank 3600 stall and trans go shift kit in my truck. Last winter when i put it in, everything ran perfect, shifted great. Then one night, I pulled up to a buddy to shoot the ****, then when I pulled away the trans was slipping horrible. It would only pull normal if I manually shifted it, but the TC wouldnt lock up. All I would have to do to make the truck shift right again would be to put it in park and turn it off for a minute or so. Then it would be good to go. It only did this once or twice last winter, and as the weather warmed up the problem disappeared.

I went all summer, up till about a month ago, without any trouble. Now as the weather is turning cooler here it has started acting up again, but it has already has acted up a few times. Seems to be worse than last year.

The truck shifts perfect and tc locks up perfect otherwise. I am running Napa trans fluid and put a new filter in when i did the swap. I also thought i washed the **** outta the valve body before reassembly. I have prolly put 8,000 miles on it since the install.

Any ideas??

when it does it, check to see what code it is throwing, then disable that test with tuning software... My truck did that when i put my verter in... It would only do it every once in awhile... I disabled the test and i have never had that problem again... I forgot the test you need to disable, but pull you codes...

Probably a tuning issue. If you have EFI Live or HPTuners, you're all set. If not, get a tune by a reputable sponsor.
