I have a 93 chevy k1500 and i did an oil change on the transmission and now i have no over drive, i had OD be for the fluid change ,all i did was change the filter and new fluid ,any suggestions on what it might be?

 

Did you put too much fluid in? I did that once, I still had overdrive, however, the transmission did run really differently.

 

nope fluid is dead on where it needs to be

 

Are you sure that you have 1st gear? If I had to guess you unplugged or damaged the 1-2 solenoid when you pulled or installed the pan. I would drop the pan and take a look at the two solenoids in the rear area of the valve body. If you had an issue pulling the pan due to exhaust clearance then you should find your issue.

 

yeah i have 1st gear and it shifts fine jus when i get up to speed the od will not kick in

 

Check the solenoids at the plastic snout for cracks. Thecan break on the removal or installation of the pan

 

What trans fluid did you refill with???
