4l60e to th400 wiring question

Default 4l60e to th400 wiring question

In the middle of my th400 swap. I tried to start the truck but no go. I think its the Neutral Safety switch. Does anybody know how to by pass it. I know Fbody's do it all the time. Does anybody know what to do. Thanks

Do you have access to efi live or hp tunes? You're gonna have to shut off a lot of DTC's to run it right. Or get a segment swap to Manual trans. My 6.0 is running a th400 and all i have is manual segment....no wiring changes needed. As for YOUR p/n wire question. You'll want pin 34 on your blue connector. If i remember right you want ignition hot returned on this wire, if not, unhook it, but i'm fairly sure its IGN HOT. You're also gonna want a VSS signal or else you're engine will die if not stumble when rolling to a stop....trust me on this one.

Ok my tuner Is PAT G I have a fresh tune in the ECM with everything needed to be off off. You confused the crap out of me with the wire stuff. Can you explain it preschool style please. I'm not that smart.

take the safety Neutral Safety switch off your 4l60e and plug it and make sure it in Neutral on the gear on dash that that how you need to get a it work for a th400.

Hows this working out with the p/n switch set in neutral? Mine is left in park, truck runs and drives fine, but I have a hard time starting it. It'll just keep cranking, or it'll backfire, but generally if i try cranking it again after it backfires it'll start right up...
