Default 4l60e reliablity

I have a friend selling a 60e needing a rebuild for 150 bucks for 400 I can have it rebuilt u was thinking have it rebuilt 3000 stall servo shift kit and swap it into my truck. Which is a rcsb 2007 Chevy classic with a 4.8 can a decent built 60e with withstand daily driving at around 340 crank hp? Will a built trans help my pickup run any better? Thanks for the help zack.

what year is that 60e trans? if you are talking about a standard rebuild, your transmission being a 2007 model is most likely a stronger transmission. maybe use the funds to upgrade the transmission that you have in your truck now.

I'm gonna say under 400 and you'll be fine.

A clean rebuild, vette servo and huge cooler.

I'd rebuild what you got already installed. Vette servo. 4L65E input housing due to it having stronger input shaft to handle that 100 shot better. And remove the 3-4 boost springs that are with the 3-4 clutches. It'll help with that 3rd gear apply and make it feel firmer.
