The 4L60e is now gone. T-56, NV4500, or 4L80?

Default The 4L60e is now gone. T-56, NV4500, or 4L80?

I built a turbo kit on my 2002 5.3. Drove it 130 miles, no third gear. I've built the damn thing twice since I bought the truck and I want a transmission that works. The second time I built it I added the Corvette servo, shift plate, and an extra 2-3 (2-4? I don't remember...) clutch. So the thing is definitely maxed out.

What am I looking at swapping to manual? I know I can get the pedal assembly and so on from a 4.8 that had the 3500..

I could be wrong but I think I read the t 56 can't be used for 4x4...

The 80 swap seems to be the most common choice but I like manual...

Whatever insight you guys can provide will be appreciated. Thanks

if you have a turbo kit, 4l80e will be the best choice. stronger, plus you wont have to wait for the boost to come in every gear

Yup I agree... 80e.

If its true performance you want then with a turbo you want the auto. If its fun while playing on the street that may be a different answer...
