Slightly

I've been wondering, since you can command any gear any time with HPT,
Why the need for a cable type shifter?

I want it for a cleaner look mostly... .but the more positive feel of a floor shifter is better to me vs the column shifter...

hey, the floor shift idea seems cool to me,
I'm just wodering about the mechanical link to the tranny for any type of shifter.
If you can shift with the laptop, then why is there a cable at all?
Maybe they just haven't gone ta a SBW system yet.

that would be cool indeed... a separate shifter button for the trans and transfer case

This sounds pretty bad ***. How much trouble would this be? Would it just be rerouting the cable from the column to the floor?

pretty much, and mounting a shifter....

if you want the cleaner look, go for a steering column trim piece for a manual trans truck without the shifter hole... looks like its made for it
