Ok got the valve body drilled for the the 2-3 shift valve and the separator plate modified.... I went ahead and used the factory plate that came with my valve body... Just need to get the surface rust off of it before i install it, decided to go that route, so i either have the transgo plate as a backup or can return it and get some money back from it......

1/8" hole drilled through valve body for the hd2-3 shift valve as per sonnax instructions.....

Separator plate marked and drilled......

Sonnax kit has plugs for the pwm hole included... Took my die grinder with a 3m disc on it at about 1/4 throttle, just barely grazed it til the rust came off.... Ill probably hit it again with trans fluid soaked steel wool before it goes in....

Theoretically....yes, however.... Had an offer brought to my attention I would be stoooopid to pass up, so.....im goin back with 5 pinion GM planetaries

If you have the time and $$ bw part might be a good thing. You're doing 5 pinion after all!

Live and learn?! Yeah, I do that all the time I kinda wish I got a newer 4l80e. Then again I've learned a ton and that's what I wanted.
